Merkúr Palota, Nagymező utca 54-56, Budapest
242 to 5,600 sq m
Description
- Rent €14 - €16.50 per sq m
The building on Nagymező Street is of great historical significance. Budapest's construction of the first telephone exchange was completed in 1903 and is now under monument protection. After its completion, the building largely retained its original condition. Among the original elements, the staircases (Nagymező and Hajós street wing), the second floor with a wall of original hexagonal glass elements, the third floor with a columned hall, and the large hall (formerly a switchroom) are the most spectacular and most representative. The complete reconstruction of the building has been completed. The pedestrian passage of the building establishes a direct connection between Hajós and Nagymező streets. Currently, the only office space for rent in the Mercury Palace is a newly designed loft office with a unique atmosphere, the design of which can be fully tailored to the needs of the prospective tenant in all respects. There is also an exclusive, internal two-story balcony penthouse apartment in the attic of the office building, which can even be rented for office purposes.
